How is a man affected by the birth of his child?
A guy's life before and after the birth is different. Mothers are naturally protective and are more focused upon the child. This can make a man feel isolated, left out and after the initial excitement of the baby's birth sleepless nights and having to do more for himself can make him feel depressed.
How does this effect his partner and what sort of changes can he expect?
Where do we start, many changes not just obvious ones to her weight, skin and appearance but also her self esteem and confidence.
Can a man do anything to help his wife/partner?
Be sensitive to his partner's feelings but also express his own feelings, talk and listen to each other.
Will things ever be the same again?
No, things will be different but life is always changing and being a dad is an important job getting it right can be so rewarding.
What advice would you give to a new Dad?
Form a good bond with your child by getting involved a man can do everything his partner can except breast-feed.
